We would like to thank our collaborators Faro Barcelona and BioscaBotey for choosing us to be part of the lighting project of Palau Moxó, a landmark of baroque architecture in Barcelona. This project has been an opportunity to demonstrate how light can enhance the heritage value, respecting the original aesthetics while integrating cutting-edge technology.
Insolit’s luminaires, such as the TR Huge, TR Spot, TR Air, Dew and a fully customized linear lamp, have been custom-designed to meet the specific challenges of each room. In the Sant Mori room, the TR Huge floats subtly, illuminating the impressive baroque fresco with a CRI of 97 for faithful reproduction of the original colors, while its DALI system allows the intensity to be adjusted according to the needs of the space. In the Montcortés room, the Dew provides a soft, controlled light that highlights ornamental details without intruding on the decor, thanks to its closed optic and 3000K shade. In the living room, the TR Spot offers focused and versatile lighting, creating cozy atmospheres and highlighting key decorative elements.
Our approach is based on a precise balance between functionality and aesthetics, following conservation principles that minimize the impact on the historic heritage. In the library, the custom linear lamp evokes the style of antique reading lamps, providing a warm and welcoming light that combines tradition and modern technology.
At Insolit, we illuminate the past with a vision of the future, providing lighting solutions that beautify and protect the architectural heritage, ensuring that its legacy lasts through time.
